Our journey

Our Theatre in Numbers

43+ Years

Coasters Musical Theatre has been entertaining the Kāpiti coast community for over 43 years. That's a long time of bringing people together through music, dance, and drama!

120+ Shows

We have staged an impressive 120+ productions over the years, ranging from classic musicals like "The Sound of Music" to modern hits like "Les Misérables". That's approximately 2-3 productions per year!

6,000 People

At Coasters, we have a strong focus on community involvement. With an average of 150-200 members participating in productions each year, that's well over 6,000 people since we first opened our doors!

100% Volunteer

As a non-profit organisation, Coasters relies on fundraising efforts to support our productions. Our community-driven mission continues all thanks to our events, sponsorships, grants and our generous supporters.
